Super Walmart ! Super ! Duper !

Well it finally happened......we got a Super Walmart in our city! It has been open now for a few months and the crowds seem to have dwindled down and you can now go in safely without being trampled or shoved around.

The first week the store was open the parking lot was full right to the last spot. The checkout lines were down the clothing rows. There were people everywhere. Since I am not a good crowd person I held off going for my first visit until week 2.

The very first visit my hubby and I took there was just a walk around. We literally went up and down each row and all the way around the store. We didn’t buy anything but we saw everything. The first few times in the store, you have to familiarize yoruself with where all your necessities are.

This Super Walmart has everything! And even specialty items like almond milk and rice milk. Probably doesn’t mean much to most people but to someone who has a food intolerance how nice to be able to shop for these items in one store, rather than making 3 or 4 stops on grocery day.

The book and magazine row is now double the size with so many more choices. I am a book junkie and love to read so this section really impresses me. And all books are 30% off cover price! And ever better deal!

This particular store has many other convenient mini stores in the front. There is a hair dresser where you can get your hair cut for $16. There is a nail salon, photographer, eye glasses store, walk in clinic and a McDonalds.

I do however have one complaint. The store is HUGE! and if you are doing groceries on the one side, and then head over to the pharmacy on the other side of the store and realize that you didn’t get your bananas........well the walk back to the grocery side will take you at least 5 minutes! Ok I kid, but honestly it’s so big that I wonder how seniors, people with disabilities or parents with kids manage. I noticed they have benches at the back of the store through out some of the main isles, and I think it’s a great idea; I might even sit there, one day!
On the upside, I get exercise every single time I go there ! ha ha !

Overall I am very happy that the store was built and in my neck of the woods. Its convenient, has almost everything you need and nothing beats one stop shopping. So if you get a Super Walmart near you, then my advice is simple.......get out your running shoes and get ready for a good walk!
