Happy Monday folks!

Well the weekend passed by in a blur, like it always does. And being December there is so much going on each weekend, that it just flies by even faster than it normally does. Saturday we had a pretty lazy day, we decided not to hit up the parade, because we were feeling wimpy and the temperature was -18'C with the windchill and we had a dumping of snow the night before and our friend the weatherman said more was on its way. So we opted to putter around the house and then run a few errands. I was amazed at how many people were out and about in the nasty weather. The roads were a mess! but then again we were out too eh? ha ha!

BRRRRRRR!!!!!
We had our staff Christmas party that night and it was very nice. It seems so many employers are getting away from parties, and doing more of a dinner type of event. Hubby's work gives out a turkey or ham each year and no longers does the fun night of dinner and dancing. Bah Humbug! There was no band, no music and no entertainment of any kind. at my party either. We had a few drinks, some nibblies, mingled and then sat down to a really nice dinner of pasta and veal chops. Dessert was a chocolate molten lava cake that hubby and most of the people we were sitting with enjoyed immensely. Mine sat untouched since chocolate is not my favorite dessert. After dinner our Manager made a nice thank you speech, called me out for being the "new " girl and everyone then started putting on their coats and hitting the road. All through dinner we kept looking out the big windows and watching the snow fall and fall and fall and fall! Our ride home was eventful! the roads were so snow covered and it took us almost twice as long to get home. When we got home we had to park at the end of our driveway since the drifts by the house were well over our knees. Like two little kids we ran up to the front door through all of the snow in our dress shoes laughing our heads off! Those are those feel good moments you have to enjoy!

Sunday was a morning of snow removal for hubby and .............for me a nice quite morning of tea and cleaning and maybe watching some cheesy tv christmas movies. I am so addicted to them. Shhhh dont tell anyone. I even pvr them when i see more than one on at a time. hee hee! The story is lame, the acting is awful but I love that they are such feel good stories and always end on a happy note.

Well today is monday! back to the grindstone. I hope you had a wonderful weekend! and i hope you have a fantastic week at work or home........where ever you are! MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!
