Today was a great Saturday. I spent the first half of the day making sausage with my Dad and Uncles. ( Pics to follow soon) Then hubby and i got to go to dinner with my cousins and their kids. And then the highlight of the night was when we had the pleasure of pulling out our ice skates and hit the rink for free skate tonight ! Yes i said ice skates !

 We had dinner at the Mandarin and when my little

cousin opened her fortune cookie

the cookie jumped out of the package and

 landed in her moms water glass !

Gave us all a shock and the a good laugh !

I forgot how much fun skating was! and what a good butt and leg work out ! I will pay for that tomorrow. We all got to the arena, found a few empty chairs and starting putting on our skates. That is the toughest part of the entire event , is lacing up the skates!  The first few strides on the ice were alittle shakey, i wobbled and did a few slips backwards and loud "ooooooops " but once i did a lap i got my legs under myself, and i was off ! I started to zig and zag through the crowded ice , and then i had a small slip up , which brought me back to reality , that i am not as strong a skater, as i think i am  ! Although i was imagining Jarome Iginla skating next to me once or twice ! wink wink !
