Tonight I hit the road and got my run on. I am not a good runner. I am not even a fair runner. But I am determine to be one! The first time I went out I could barely catch my breathe and all I could think was " I hate this".
So I got hubby to put some good 90's dance mix and some Pitbull on my iPod and I jammed those little buds into my ears. Everything I read says to set a goal. So my goal is to run to this beautiful tree one kilometer from my home and back. I realized really quickly that I wasn't going to make it all the way to my tree. So I started out by running for one minute and then walking. Then running one minute and then walking. I have been doing that on and off for a couple of weeks. Last week I had a small knee injury so I had to take the week off. And instead of thinking " I hate this " I was thinking " this is ok, but I don't love it yet " haha !
Tonight I ran almost half way. My goal of course is to run all the way to my big beautiful tree and back home. I am confident it will happen. Just not today.............. Rome wasn't built in one day.
