I saw this post card on Instagram a few weeks back and i have opened it and read it every day since. And since I am about to embark on a new adventure in my life ........I believe I can and so I will.
I think that as I get older keeping a positive outlook is so important. I have an amazing dad who should have been a motivational speaker. Honestly he can lift you out of a slump like no other person i know. He always has a plan and when you go to him with a problem, he pulls out his pen from his shirt and grabs the closest piece of paper or napkin and starts making a list of what to do or a list of pros and cons. As kids we were blessed to have his insight. And as adults even more blessed, since our adult problems seem so much bigger some days. ( what I would do to trade today's problems for those of a 13 year old eh? )
I used to work for my dad at his dealership and i remember him walking through his store every morning and pounding his hand on the parts counter saying " it's going to be another beautiful day In Paradise." I would cringe in embarrassment thinking what a dorky thing to say. Haha ! Now I get it.
If you start your day off on a positive note...........Then the rest of they day seems to follow suit. Every morning I get out of bed and I tell myself today is going to be a great day. It really helps. And you can say anything. But just make it a habit. You'll be surprised the effect it has on you.
SUGGESTIONS to start the day off:
" today is the day The Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice"
" I feel good, I look good , I am good"
" today is going to be awesome"
" it's a good day, to have a good day"
Well here's to you tomorrow morning, as you get out of bed , think of me and tell yourself what an awesome day it is going to be. And I will do the same.
