It's all Greek to me

My hubby is Greek and his mom is an amazing cook and baker. I have occasionally tried my hand at the odd recipe, but the older they get and we get , I feel like I should learn how to make more of her treats.

Last week I attempted Greek Koulourakia cookies. They were good. But I need some practice to get them to be anywhere close to my MIL's........ needless to say the cookie jar is almost empty. So they were ok. Ha ha

Today we tried our hand at Lagana, a Greek bread with feta cheese, bacon , olive oil and salt on top. I am not a bacon fan but it was delicious! Fresh out of the oven, it was crunchy on top and warm and soft in the middle. Way to go non-Greek little wife !

Onwards and upwards to see what else I can try.......maybe raid my MIL's recipe book next time we visit.
